About us

You are welcome to come to the Canterbury Diamond Way Buddhist Group and get to know the most profound Buddhist teachings - the Diamond Way - in a context relevant to modern everyday life, which brings an exciting development of all human qualities and constantly increases our ability to benefit others and ourselves.

Our group:

• is a member of Diamond Way Buddhism UK (registered charity)
• belongs to the international network of over 700 centres for meditation in the Karma Kagyu tradition of Tibetan Buddhism with the main teachers H.H. 17th Karmapa Thaye Dorje and Lama Ole Nydahl
• is run by volunteers and functions through friendship and idealism.

We meet twice a week for regular guided meditations. Meditation sessions are free and everybody is welcome. If you are coming for the first time, please let us know in advance, so we can make sure that you get the best introduction possible.

Please note: We are in our summer meditation programme with a reduced number of public meditations, the regular pattern of twice weekly public meditation will resume on Monday 7th September, if you wish to meditate during the summer email us at canterbury@dwbuk.org
